Stronger Teams. Bolder Leaders. Higher Standards
About Us
From Military Precision
to Fitness Excellence
Fit Leaders (Fit LDRS) is a Hamburg, NY–based training program focused on developing both physical fitness and leadership—on and off the field. Founded by Joseph Coniglio, a former U.S. Army Officer with over 20 years of experience leading soldiers and coaching athletes, Fit Leaders is grounded in teamwork, discipline, and a drive for peak performance.
Joe’s method blends high-intensity fitness with time-tested military leadership principles, creating a powerful environment where athletes and teams grow stronger—physically, mentally, and as unified, resilient groups. His reputation for building high-performing individuals and cohesive teams reflects his deep expertise in both fitness readiness and leadership development.
Fit Leaders began with Joe’s passion for helping young athletes break through their limits—not just physically, but mentally and emotionally—so they could compete and lead with confidence. What started as team-based fitness sessions quickly evolved into one-on-one coaching, revealing a growing need among youth for stronger mentorship and guidance from the adults around them—coaches, parents, and teachers alike.
In response, Fit Leaders expanded into a full-spectrum development program, offering:
Team development sessions to build trust, accountability, and unity
Leadership training for team captains, teaching them what it means to lead with purpose
One-on-one coaching for athletes and adults focused on fitness, mental toughness, and personal growth
Today, Fit Leaders serves more than just athletes. From teenagers to adults, the program empowers people to excel in fitness, leadership, and life. The mission remains simple and powerful:
Build stronger teams. Forge bolder leaders. Prepare individuals to take on any challenge.
Team and Group Training
Our team and group training sessions offer a comprehensive approach to building physical strength, leadership, and team cohesion. Sessions can combine high-intensity workouts with classroom and hands-on leadership exercises, or be tailored à la carte to fit your team’s specific needs. Whether preparing for competition, reshaping team culture, or developing stronger leaders, our programs focus on endurance, teamwork, accountability, and a winning mindset—all designed to create a more unified and resilient team.
Physical Fitness Training
At Fit Leaders, we provide one-on-one private fitness coaching for teenage athletes to adults, helping them build strength, confidence, and leadership to tackle challenges in sports, school, and life. Every session is tailored to their sport, interests, and personal goals, using fitness as the foundation for mental toughness, discipline, and success—on and off the field.
Train Hard. Lead Strong. Dominate Life.
Coaching & Consulting
Our coaching and consulting services focus on teen mentoring, adult life coaching, bullying prevention, and first aid/CPR training. With a mission to build confidence, resilience, and leadership, we help teens develop mental toughness and life skills, while guiding adults through personal growth and career challenges. Whether mentoring young athletes, addressing bullying, or providing critical life-saving training, our programs are designed to empower individuals to lead, grow, and succeed.
"Your ability to connect with our son, understand him, and challenge him was unmatched. My son responds extremely well to the things Coach Joe showed him. His ability to connect with our son meant the messages and teachings didn’t go 'in one ear and out the other."
Eileen
"You were the best thing that ever happened to our son with hockey. He loved playing for you. You were always a great coach and a positive influence on our son and the team!"
Tom
Our son, a competitive hockey player, joined Joe's session looking to improve his strength and conditioning before his season. What he got was that, plus so much more! Coach Joe designed his classes to help kids gain confidence in their abilities, compete at a high level, and, most importantly, taught him leadership and teamwork as well. Thanks, Coach!
